In support of Florida’s effort to expand the talent pipeline in the semiconductor and advanced manufacturing industries, NIIT will join the Florida Department of Education, CareerSource Brevard, and other leaders in the space for a Registered Apprenticeship Accelerator event.

The event will be held October 11 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. EDT at the Canaveral Port Authority in Cape Canaveral.
​
There will be interactive discussions and information shared on the CHIPS Act Initiative, how we can protect the U.S. economy and national security through expanding talent state-side, and Florida’s first Semiconductor Registered Apprenticeship.
​
This accelerator is timely, as Florida’s Governor Ron Desantis recently announced a dedication of $50 million for workforce development in the semiconductor industry, funded by FloridaCommerce and the Florida Department of Education.
Florida has been growing its capacity in the space, and is third in the nation for semiconductor establishments and fifth in semiconductor manufacturing jobs.
